Question About LG Electronics Dehumidifier LHD459ELT9
not dehumidifying...

The dehumidifier runs constantly but doe not remove much water - maybe 1/2 cup/hour. Remove the front and see a large ice cube around the skinny copper tube going to the "radiator" like coils.

0 I have the same problem. The manual claims this will disappear within 60 minutes. On one and only one occasion I observed what looked like a defrost cycle completely clear the ice around the tube and radiator fins. This is how I believe it should work. Sadly, despite repeated power cycles, the unit frosts over and runs up electric bill without removing a molecule of moisture.
