Fan and compressor kick on to start cooling. After 1-3 minutes, the fan stops (compressor is still running) Fan immediately tries to start running again, but stops, and then tries again, and again. The result is that I hear a click/thump, about every second for 15-20 seconds, as the fan is 'started' and then just as quickly shut down. (The thump is merely the inertia of the almost started motor dumping itself into the unit housing). Also, each attempt at re-start gets a little further along. After the multiple re-start attempts, the fan will finally kick in and stay on, for another couple minutes, and then it will go through it's dance again. This continues until the thermostat shuts off the cooling cycle. Looking at the control board (during the start/stops), I can hear the relaying kicking on-and-off, and see the LEDs slow blink together. When the fan does run normally, the LEDs blink slowly, indicating normal operation.
