5 take it apart on a drop cloth OUTSIDE, then use an unused wide paint brush to get off the majority of the dust. If it has been used in a house of smokers, then mix a capful of most any cleaner with some water and spray it on a rad and give all the parts a good clean down. Let dry and repeat with fresh water only on the rag. Again let dry. Then if you really care to do it right, spray the parts down with some Febreez. Let dry. Then reassemble and use it. Spreads that good sent around the room. Enjoy! ^_^
