1 I downloaded the manual for this alarm yesterday because our unit would not stop chirping. There is a 9 volt backup battery in the top of your unit that probably hasn't been changed since it was installed. Replace the old battery, plug the unit back in and wait 15 minutes. The problem should be solved. Good luck!

0 my kidde alarm must be replaced but model 1275 is no longer available. Will 1276 fit into the same ceiling bracket?
