low battery- replacementy...

I keep getting the message"low battery,"I have detached the detector from the wires but have no clue how to open it.I do not want to risk break the back cover.I need your help,please.

5 To detach plug you must squeeze the sides in to release. Then there is a tab that you gently list to expose the 9 volt battery. Use only alkaline and change every 2 years
