Question About Kidde Smoke Alarm i12060
Can I hook up an alarm tranmitter to the i12060?...

I need to be able to open this unit and, if it has a relay with dry contacts, hook up a 318 MHz transmitter alarm to it. Anyone know: 1. If it can be opened? 2. Has dry, continuity relay contacts inside? Thanks

0 Fortunately I can now answer that question--maybe. I found a Kidde product, a relay SX120 that will operate when an alarm is sounded and (hopefully) provide continuity for my transmitter--to turn it on. (I ordered one) If my assumption is correct, almost any kind of device that can be operated with a pair of dry contacts will work with this relay. Djacques
