Question About Kidde Smoke Alarm 0976
Battery...

Is there a specific battery brand I should use in this smoke detector? It just went off; I thought it needed a new battery; but the noise continues with the new battery.

0 it should say on the back of the detector what batteries it takes, but according to mine (also model 0976) it takes the following: Energizer 522; Eveready 216, 1222; Gold Peak 1604P, 1604S, 1604A; Duracell MX1604, MN 1604; Panasonic 6AM6, 6AM-6, 6AM-6PI, 6AM6X; or Ultralife U9VL-J. These should all be 9Volt batteries.
