Whisper Belt, beater bar problem

0 From the bottom, there are two deep holes on each side near the back. At the bottom of these are phillips head screws. Take these out. Then there are four tabs holding the bottom to the top, two in the back, one on each side of the hose assembly, and one one each side. You can use a regular screwdriver to gently lift these up. The top will come completely off now. The beater bar is held in place by square pegs fitted into each side of the bar assembly. Use the regular screwdriver blade to gently slide these up.
