how do I get the wand off of the Power Mate's carp...

how do I get the wand off of the Power Mate's carpet cleaning attachment? I got the top half of the wand separated from the bottom half, but to use the small round brush attachment with only 1/2 a wand will not work for my physical problems.

0 no longer need this info. Just had to apply *much* more pressure to the Quick Release area on the Power Mate attachment.
