Kenmore sewing machine 1516 will not zigzag. We cl...

Kenmore sewing machine 1516 will not zigzag. We cleaned vaccuumed oiled all the manual suggested spots. The machine will not zigzag. Also noted kind of a knocking sound from right side of machine. Any suggestions?
