I have a new Kenmore MD 50 sewing machine. The bobbin tread keeps bunching up on the bottom of my material as I try to sew. What is the problem?

5 I have been sewing for over thirty years I have two sewing machines, a long arm quilting machine and two ten needle embroidery machines. usually three things could be at fault. First make sure your needle is in properly. If it has a flat side on the shank that goes towards the back and it is inserted all the way up before you tighten the screw that holds it in. Second make sure your bobbin is not wound too loose. If it the thread wound too loose it'll feel soft. The third thing to check is your tension, if the top thread tension is too loose that'll cause the bird nesting on the bottom. Check your troubleshooting for Maxine settings. Good luck.
