Can this machine be lubricated? I know it has plastic gears. I picked it up at an estate sale, don't think it has been used for a long time, it sews, but very noisy, and getting slower. I think gears are probably very dry after sitting for long time. Thanks, bowo@lisco.com

5 Here is a link for directions on how to clean and oil a Kenmore sewing machine. The directions are for a different model but it is a model close enough to yours that the process would most definitely be the same.
