My sears dehumidifier has to be manually dialed on to start, but then it goes off after about three minutes. There is humidity in the basement. Sometimes the compresser goes on and sometimes it doesn't. Either way, after a few minites the unit goes off. In order for it to start up again I have to manually turn in off and then on again. When the compresser goes on, you can see the condensation forming on the coils.
