Question About Kenmore Air Cleaner F0200897

my air cleaner I have it for almost 8 month , last time after I cleaned it , and reset it , worked but it shut off every couple of hours and I have to reset the prefilter all the time, I dont know what is wrong, it is clean and assambeled right , so what is the probleme I can't find it in my manual.
