got this sewing machine from poundstretcher Hyunda...

got this sewing machine from poundstretcher Hyundai Sewing Machine FHSM-202/PLU249741...it got no adapter, wanted to return it but lost the receipt.....i've put in 4AA batteries but not seem to be working....what do i do? Thanks
