Hi, Our Hyundai wsh-0908a air con will not turn on...

Hi, Our Hyundai wsh-0908a air con will not turn on. the remote will not operate it. if you slide switch inside to test (which makes it start with all lights on) then slide all the way the other way (stops it) then back to middle, it runs but is just blowing air. not cooling. Is it a remote problem or is unit needing replacing?
