Question About Hunter Fan Thermostat 44550

Hunter Auto Saver 550 Model 44550 Back panel states "2,3,OR 4- WIRE SYSTEMS: USE RC-RH JUMPER WIRE". The manual wiring diagram shows the jumper in place for 4 wire, (Heat/Cool) and 5 wire, (Heat/Cool) and3 wire, (Heat only), But not 2 wire heat only. Do I use the jumper or not? It's just hooked up to a standard 2 wire house furnace.
