Question About Hunter Fan Humidifier 34352

This humidifier was purchased about 4 years ago. I didn't use it last year, and this week I just replaced the permanent wick filter. I can not get the fan to come on, no matter where I place the setting. I'm just surprised, because I've taken good care of this unit, when it's in use and when it's stored away. Any suggestions?
