a friend gave me his hunter humidifier after he took it apart for what ever reason. all i want to do with it is to be able to run the fan only and nothing else. i have it running off a small switch that was operated by the float . from the power cord the blk wire to the switch,neutral to the motor and from the motor , blk wire to switch. theres also a red wire thats not hooked up to anything. this does work but motor surges , any suggestions.plus id like to run it with a on off switch
