this unit was used by heavy smokers. how can I eliminate the cigarette smell? i have changed the filters.

5 If you have a heavy smoker in your household or did then unfortunately the smoke is in the wall..carpet..furniture. This air cleaner won't do the trick. I recommend on a nice day open all windows steam clean and shampoo furniture and carpet and wash and drapes. And finally find a way to clean the walls. Basically this fan or really any fan like this cleans what's in the air.
