how do I use the hose for the Hoover steamvac with...

how do I use the hose for the Hoover steamvac with surge? I see the end where I plug the attachments to, and where to attach the little round thing. but how do I hook up the part where the water goes ? I see a place that in my mind it should fit but so far it doesn't????
