Question About Honeywell Thermostat Model # YRTH230B1033
snow flake flashing...

Iam in a new house where I have never used the AC yet. So I turned it on this morning and it came on fine it got chilly so I raised the temp and it shut off. Then I wanted to make sure it turned back on so I lowered the temp again below the room temp but it didn't turn back on and the snowflake was flashing. What's going on????
