0 There looks like there is a small battery soldered in. Does anyone know enough to provide expert guidance on getting the clok to run again.

0 If the battery dies with a short it pulls down the supply to the clock . The solution is to replace it with a Nicad or Nimh 1.2v AAA cell. The original is a 2/3AAA cell, but there is plenty of room. Either buy one w/ solder tabs, break up a 3-cell cordless ph battery, install a small battery holder and std nicad AAA battery, or just tape the wires to a batt.
