Can't figure out how to set the temp so that is doesnt change

2 DONT NOW HOW TO SET THE TEMP NEED INSTRUCTIONS WE JUST MOVED IN AND SOMETIMES IT WONT TURN ON WHEN WE SET IT RIGHT AWAY OR EVEN GO ON OR STAY
