I have honeywell RLV430 programmable thermostats and have just purchased replacement garrison convection baseboard heaters with thermostat. The instructions say i can use with a programmable thermostat and Canadian Tire now advise users to contact the manufacturer of the programmable thermostat for compatability. Secondly do I disconnect the garrison thermostat or just leave it set on the highest temperature position ( the thermostat is attached to a circuit board)
