How do I set it for manual use only?ther is a number 1 in the box to the left(inside a house)I'm not sure what I did to do that. I just want to be able to set my heat without not programmed.

0 I have the SAME problem. My father, who passed away, set it to go up to like 100 degrees and I have to continually get up and try to turn it down. Then repeat. It's the MOST confusing contraption - someone got paid to design this thing - why can't they just use simple English? I'm losing my mind and barrels of oil here!
