Question About Honeywell Thermostat Chronotermo IV Plus

I have installed the above as a control of my airconditioning system. Yet when I turn off the manual system by setting system to off and fan from on to auto, it always comes back from auto to on automatically upon the sleep mode time and often at wake mode time. Please help or else we may never be able to go for a trip.
