I have an old honeywell TC49 model 2 that won't stop chirping. Help!

5 I've had the same problem, changed batteries (which mine are also connect to the AC) and that didn't correct problem. I then contacted manufacture, they ask for a serial number of alarm, and if it was in range they would replace it free. What they told me, if it makes a noise still after replacing battery the alarm has a internal electronic problem it needs replaced. I have also replaced alarms at my cost, because of age.
