I have a hard-wired Honeywell smoke alarm that is at least 12 years old (when I bought this house) and I have no manual or way to identify the model. It is now chirping even after I remove the cover. I want to disconnect or disable it (we have other smoke detectors that are newer). However, there is so much hardware packed into the plastic frame that attaches to the ceiling that I can't even locate the screws to remove it from the ceiling and disconnect the power. See the picture below. Suggestions?

The ManualsOnline team has found the manual for this product! We hope it helps solve your problem. Get the Manual Here
0 That is model TC49A, and to fix the chirping problem try vacuuming out the sensor (the thing with a bunch of holes in it). To remove it, I have that same alarm, and here's how I removed mine: There is a slot-screw in between the horn and the sensor. Remove that screw. The base should come off of a mounting plate. Your alarm may have a wiring connection that you simply unsnap(mine had a line cord going into the ceiling, so I had to cut the cord). Remove the two screws holding the mounting plate to the ceiling, and you're done.
