I have a 1977 model tc89b and it the alarm has gone off with no smoke or fire in the house. What's the cause?

0 First of all if it was made in 1977 you need to replace it. It has become sensitive over the years. Im surprised if it works. However it would make an awesome collectible. I have one vintage Nortron unit (circa 1978) so far. If you still have the honeywell unit I will gladly take it off your hands. But if I was you I would get a new smoke alarm asap if you haven't already.
