I haven't used my HoMedics Brethe Air Revitalizer in a couple months, I'm wanting to use it again but the hood that sits on the bowel that you fill with water, is just grimey with what looks like mold. It was stored away in a dry place, not sure what happend.. But I'm wondering how I should go about cleaning the slits in the hood and just in general. Until I figure out a way to clean it, I guess I just can't use it... I've tried q-tips and mild scrubbing, but I just can't get it all off... Any tips?

0 the same thing happened to me but it was sooo bad the machine slowed down. But before it died i used vinigar and hot water it seemed to help. In only a half hr I could see the grime starting to disolve from the hood. But i would recommend running it out side for a couple of hrs cause the vinigar stinks. lookin for another one now . Next time ill do monthly treatments so it wont get so bad. But loved the product. Good luck
