Question About Holmes Fan HEH8001
burnt out power supply cord...

I'm wondering how to replace power supply cord. The cord passes through some sort of plastic plug at the back bottom of the unit. I am unable to remove it with out damaging the plastic housing.

0 I found I could force the power cord plug through the hole from back of the the (disassembled) rear panel, cut the strayed wires and safely splice the now accessible AC strands.
