My dad has this doorbell & his neighbor does too. Every time the neighbor's doorbell rings, my dad's rings too. Can the doorbell's frequency be changed? Thanks, johnanolan@comcast.net

0 I have the same doorbell but it was never used by the previous family for the same reason. I bought a replacement doorbell and it turns out to be the same company. Same bell, same jumpers and same instructions. So basically, jumpers 1-7 are for frequency. Put the jumpers wherever you want. Make them random. The only thing is that you have to have the same jumper settings on the bell itself and the button outside your house. They recommend only changing one at a time and making sure that it still works. Jumper 8 is to change the doorbell tune. In the case of this model, it changes from a digital tune that you find on many clocks and doorbells to a simple ding dong.
