I have my Haier dehumidifier set to drain into the...

I have my Haier dehumidifier set to drain into the hole where the air conditioner drains, but the tank fills up instead. The drain hose is not plugged. What else do I need to do to get it working properly because when the tank fills up it keeps running and goes all over the floor.
