We have a General Electric smoke alarm model No 54...

We have a General Electric smoke alarm model No 541NCSXTE, and think the battery is low. It keeps beeping, a high-pitched beep every few minutes. What can we do to turn it off. We can't seem to find the battery inside the casing.
