Our dehumidifier GE modelAHW30LKG1 is not working...

Our dehumidifier GE modelAHW30LKG1 is not working right. It runs & the fan blows but the controls can not be changed & the window shows P 1 . I do not have a book to tell me what that means! It does not seem to take moisture out of air.
