0 Hello aburr314, thank you for allowing me to assist you! I understand you are having trouble with your Frigidaire dehumidifier (FDF50S1) not collecting water and shutting on and off. There are some troubleshooting tips you can use. I suggest changing the set point to a lower setting. As humidity drops in the room the amount of water will decrease and very little water may be generated even when in continuous mode. Additionally, winter air and cold basements hold less moisture and is difficult to remove. If these basic troubleshooting tips prove ineffective, then your dehumidifier may possibly have sealed system issue. I hope this information is helpful.
