0 Hi cventura65, thank you for allowing me to assist you! First remove the bucket to reach the filter of your Frigidaire dehumidifier, FDL50S1. When you locate the filter, pull it downwards. The filter can be clean by either washing it with clean water or using a vacuum cleaner extension hose. If you use clean water, please allow the filter to dry. Once the filter is reinstalled then replace the bucket. To extinguish the light simply press the FILTER button and your dehumidifier will resume normal operations. The replacement part number filter of your dehumidifier is 5304471801. Most parts can be purchased directly from the manufacturer or through a parts distributor in your area (part numbers may vary based on distributor). Hope this helps!
