Contiues to run when turned on but does not collec...

Contiues to run when turned on but does not collect any moisture. The filter lite has come on but the filter looks good. Unless it has a filter I cannot find. Any ideas? Thanks

0 Hello Joy, thank you for your inquiry! Typically, there are two main reasons why your dehumidifier may not be collecting water after the filter is cleaned, either there is low humidity in the room or possible sealed system issues. Dehumidifiers have similar components as refrigerators. It consists of an evaporator and air is pulled across it. When the moist air is pulled across the evaporator, the water droplets in the air are condensed back to liquid form and that is when it begins to build water. So more than likely the compressor is not running or there is a leak in the sealed system not allowing the evaporator to get cold enough to remove moisture from the air. Because it is a smaller appliance, repairs are often more costly than the actual appliance replacement. Is your dehumidifier still in warranty? If so, you might want to reach out directly to the manufacturer to determine the coverage on your dehumidifier and the procedures to any potential remedy in that regard. Best of luck!
