Unit fan doesn't operate in either the heat or cool mode. There is power to unit. The display is operable and I can feel heat if I reach into the unit when in the heat mode. No previous indications of problems.

0 Hi pgordy, thank you for allowing me to assist you! If your air conditioner cooled properly during the summer, but it is not heating during the winter, in some cases this is normal. Keep in mind that some air conditioners the heating option is simply a supplement to help heat up your room and will not heat the entire room completely. Meanwhile, here are some simple troubleshooting tips that may help you resolve your issue:  When was the last time the filter was cleaned? Restricted air flow from a soiled air filter can cause air conditioner to not cool properly. Make sure there is nothing blocking the airflow to the unit like blinds, drapes, furniture, etc. which could restrict air distribution.  Confirm that the condenser coil is clean and not restricted by any trees, bushes, etc. since the coils could possibly be blocked or dirty.  Verify that the plug is not damaged and try resetting the unit. This can be done by pressing the GFI plug on the unit.  Do not use an extension cord. If the issue persists and you feel that there may be some other issue occurring, feel free to reach out to a professional to proceed further. Best regards!
