How do I remove the filter for cleaning?

0 Good Afternoon mwhite, I am happy to assist you. Generally speaking, the filter is recommended to be cleaned after 250 hours of operation and at this time the FILTER RESET light should illuminate. Some air conditioner filters can be removed by sliding out from the right-hand side. Others, you would need to push the vent handle to the Vent Closed position and open the front panel. Grasp the filter by center and pull up and out. The filter can be washed using liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water. Rinse filter thoroughly. If necessary, gently shake excess water from the filter. Be sure filter is completely dry before replacing. Keep in mind that instead of washing you may vacuum the filter clean as well. Once the filter has been cleaned, extinguish the light simply by pressing the FILTER button and the unit should resume normal operations.
