0 Hello margaretthompson28 – First, have you recently cleaned the filter? The air filter is recommended to be check at least once a month or when the CHECK FILTER light illuminates to help maintain the unit clean. Trapped particles usually buildup in the filter and causes an accumulation of frost on the cooling coils. You can typically locate the filter by pushing the vent handle to the Vent Closed position (where applicable), open the front panel, grasps the filter by the center and pull up and out. The filter can be clean by using liquid dishwashing detergent and warm water, rinse thoroughly, and allow it to dry and/or with an extension of a vacuum cleaner. Is there frost on the coils? If so, then the temperature might be set to low for right-time cooling which prevent the unit to cool accordingly. Check the thermostat setting and try defrosting the coils by selecting the FAN ONLY mode and then set temperature to a higher setting. I certainly hope this troubleshooting tip resolves your concern. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to respond.
