0 Hello richardferrera – Have you recently cleaned the unit? Depending on how dusty an area the unit is located, determines how frequently the coils may need to be professionally cleaned. Frequent cleaning and maintaining the filter is the key to keeping your coils clean and preventing an odor (mold). Depending on how dirty the filter is, it may need to be replaced. Confirmed that the odor isn’t coming from outside, in which you may decide to run the air conditioners with the vents closed.
