First, I know NOTHING about fireplaces. Just bought a MH with a 36ECM11. Has a lot of ash on bottom from previous use, starter bricks on the hearth. Has a metal tube with a coupling on the end coming out of back bottom rear. Has ceramic (or stone) logs on the grate. Question - is this a wood or gas fireplace, or both? I assume wood, but then why fake logs on the grate like those used with gas? Why the metal tube in the back? See? Told you I know nothing about fireplaces! Thanks!
