I have a First Alert Carbon Monoxide Detector. It started chirping, so I checked it outside and the chirping continued. I assumed the batteries needed to be replaced, which I did. The chirping stopped, but resumed 24 hours after I replaced the batteries. If I take one battery out and reinsert it, the chirping stops. This has gone on since last Sunday- every 24 hours. What's wrong?
