Can this carbon monoxide detector be repaired?...

First Alert Battery-Operated Carbon Monoxide Alarm MODEL FCD3N Carbon Monoxide Detector I had replaced the battery, but the alarm still keeps going off, is there a way to repair this? I did purchase a new one, but would like to have this one as well, maybe for a back-up or to be placed in another area. Thank you for your time.
