Question About Firex Smoke Alarm None
Changing Battery...

My smoke detector is hard wired so I don't think it needs a battery but it started beeping this morning and I'm not sure if I need to change the backup battery. If so, how do I get the battery out with the wire cover plate on top of it. I can see a battery under the cover but I cannot take the cover off. Can someone help? Thanks!!
