My alarm in my bedroom suddenly started blasting - for a while, then a break, then another while - at 2 AM! No sign of a problem, so I took it down and removed the battery and it was quiet. When I put a new battery in this morning, it started blasting again as soon as I tried to connect it back to the ceiling. I checked and the circuit breaker is not thrown. What does this mean?
