Question About Firex Smoke Alarm IAR230C
Beeping...

One of the alarms won't stop beeping - took the unit down but we cannot change the battery (it's supposed to be a 'life-long' battery). Please advise.

0 I have the same problem. The battery life span is only 10 years after which you need to change the entire unit. Mine started beeping after 13 years so I suppose thats not too bad.
