I have this fireplace insert, 36CF vented gas fire...

I have this fireplace insert, 36CF vented gas fireplace heater. I have changed batteries in remote but cannot get fireplace to come on. The gas has been turned on. What could my problem be. Had no problems last year getting it started with remotes.
